Lord of the Skies

4" x 4" linocut

This is another in my series of experiments to see how much detail I can achieve in a linocut.  It is also a failed commission.  I was asked to make a falcon for a Christmas card, but after the print was completed, the people changed their minds about using it.  Oh well.

If you are interested in capturing the greatest amount of detail I would recommend wood engraving. You seem to have a wood engraving aesthetic going on here. I recently have been experimenting with a wood substitute called "high impact polystyrene" and it holds a line like a wood engraving.
